Smashball

🏐 Smashball is a modified version of volleyball introduced by Volleyball Canada

Smashball is played on a low net with 3V3 or 4v4 to support learning and maintain the flow of the game.  A catch and toss can also be incorporated when necessary, allowing players to build confidence and rhythm while developing proper technique. This adaptable structure ensures that athletes of all skill levels stay engaged, get plenty of touches on the ball, and enjoy early success as they learn the foundations of volleyball.

🏐 EVC House League Programs

Our House League is designed for athletes of all levels to build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy the game in a fun, supportive environment. Each session is divided into two parts: skill development and game play, led by passionate and experienced coaches.

U11 (2014–2013) – Tripleball

1.5-hour practice
Athletes will be introduced to the core volleyball fundamentals: serving, bumping, setting, and spiking, along with court movement and communication. Tripleball format ensures continuous play, faster learning, and tons of fun!

U13 (2012–2011) – Volleyball

1.5-hour practice
This blended program helps athletes refine their fundamental skills while beginning to understand team strategy and court positioning. Players will start to build a volleyball playbook, learning the strengths and weaknesses of different formations.

U16 (2010–2008) – Varsity

2-hour practice
Geared toward athletes with some volleyball experience, this program focuses on sharpening skills, developing court awareness, and using formations strategically. Players will learn how to read the game, make smarter plays, and work effectively as a team.

The transition into coaching came naturally. Having taught elementary school for over 20 years, she's lost count of the teams she's helped develop, the banners she's won, the athletes she'd had the pleasure of knowing. Coach Jess is excited to join Coach Cori (and to see a few familiar faces out on the court!).
